- DCFS
- For my project, I am doing research on DCFS. DCFS has gone to multiple houses and closed the cases when they really should not have. Many children have continued to be in more danger or have died because DCFS said the house was a safe environment when it really was not. I think these workers should be under investigation until they figure out whether it really was a mess up or if they were involved with the parents. Some of these caseworkers do not care the way they should. I do not understand why you go and apply for a job like that and a job that serious when you are not going to take it serious. These are children lives and they are dying/being killed because these caseworkers are not investigating the way they should be. There was a case on the news saying that DCFS had been called to the house 34 times and every time it was dismissed, the child ended up being killed. Why should that worker still continue to have their job? It is not right how some DCFS do not take this more seriously. The result to this issue is certain caseworkers should no longer have their jobs and they need to investigate them as well. I also think the courts should not be easy on these parents at all.
- The problem is DCFS workers not doing their jobs the correct way. They are jut going and trying to get their days over with when this is a serious job. Children are depending on them to get them out of the situation they are in and instead of that, a lot of children have been dying or being killed recently. My idea for this is to have multiple examples of cases that have been going on. I also plan to have answers to what we could do to end this.

- I first will make sure the ones working are right for the job. I will make sure they know how serious it is and actually care enough. I then will investigate the caseworkers who have been to a house multiple times but keep dismissing it. I will also investigate the house. If I think something is wrong, I will involve the police right away to make sure the parents are not hiding something or lying. I will make sure all my results are correct and I will not leave the children with the family while the investigation is going on. If DCFS has been to a house multiple times, something is clearly not right.
- I will find another case every couple days. I will make sure I have at least two strong paragraphs every 3-4 days. I will meet with my advisor after midterms.
- I am writing a paper and I plan to have 4 or 5 different cases for examples, I will also have explanations of house these could have been prevented or fixed. I will have very detailed information.
- I am using multiple different news sites.
